Assistant General Manager

• Overall responsible for the start-up, effective operations and P&L management of an express courier company dedicated to supporting the logistics industry in Singapore.
• Build and lead a team of marketing, operations, safety & security specialists in achieving business and operational excellence at the company.
• Champion initiatives that will deliver and add value to the company’s products, growth and development activities.
• Liaise and coordinate with external stakeholders, partners and relevant government agencies to identify new opportunities and resolve issues.
• Provide active leadership to advance the company’s role in establishing the company as a leader in the local market for speed and deliverable activities.
• Degree in a relevant field or equivalent.
• At least 8 years of relevant experience in the local express courier or logistics with progressively increasing functional and/or general management responsibility.
• Demonstrate a good grasp of commercial, financial, legal, human resources and operational related topics required to fulfil a senior terminal management role.
• Possess good network with airlines, freight forwarders, suppliers and shippers.
• Familiar with logistics operations.
• Reports to Country Manager
